Qasr Al Hosn is a world-class museum that reflects the history of Abu Dhabi and the role it played in the founding and growth of a nation.
The masterplan by Cebra links the landscapes of the desert with that of the city to emphasize the significance of the relations between traditional Emirati culture, the nature of Abu Dhabi island and the modern metropolitan identity.
Haley Sharpes narrative supporting design tells the story of Qasr Al Hosn, from a watchtower to a palace for the Royal Family, housing personal objects and stories from the Rulers of Abu Dhabi as well as from the people who worked and lived there.
GLASBAU HAHN have delivered 14 different special display cases. 2 of them have integrated GBH’s active climatization system. The precious garments and documents, shown in these cases are protected at the best. Other Display cases show ornaments, vases and many other articles of daily use.
